十五年前，言知暖和景衡州被绑匪困在冷冻车内，言知暖为了救景衡州，脱外套给景衡州保暖自己冻晕。中途绑匪将言知暖扔在垃圾堆。此时，言知暖被捡垃圾的禾生发现，紧急送往医院。由于言知暖头部遭受撞击失忆，禾生为言知暖取名禾苗，和亲生女儿禾兰一起长大。。The story of a young group of siblings pretty much abandoned by their parents, surviving by their wits - and humor - on a rough Manchester council estate.
